As young child growing up on the magnificent lush green tea estates of India, I took for granted the slow paced life that we lived. It is only now that I realize how much I cherish and miss those moments. The same moments that make you take a pause from all of the busyness of life and just sit back and enjoy spending time with the people around you with a cup of tea.

Now, living in a metropolitan city, I am eager to share these special childhood experiences with others that have been deeply rooted in my soul. My goals for Chaiwala Speaks are: to connect people; to help them share their experiences and their stories from tea; and, to provide a place for others to learn about tea. I will be writing about everything from the production of tea all the way to the real-life stories of people working in tea. I want to invite others from the tea industry to join in this blog by sharing their personal stories from their days in tea.
